Today I wanted to find a way to extract data from my banking portals faster. Usually, I use the "export to csv" feature, then manually copy/paste that csv data into the "master" spreadsheet. This is how my wife and I keep track of our finances.
But this process is tedious. I wanted to be able to copy data directly from the html <table> I see when I first log in to my banking portal.
For this purpose I found the browser extension Table Capture.
This extension allowed me to select any html table on a page and copy/paste directly into my spreadsheet. It's a great tool.
